I just lost the boxes
During our recent move to a new apartment, I realized that the packaging for COLLECTED might have been lost in the process. Rather than producing new boxes from scratch, I turned to a more sustainable solution: 3D printing them in PLA, a biodegradable material derived from renewable resources. To maintain the signature aesthetic, I wrapped each box in brown paper, ensuring that the packaging remains both functional for the customer and visually consistent with the brand.
Additionally, I was able to repurpose the bandanas I still had in stock, reducing waste and making the most of existing materials. This approach aligns with my ongoing commitment to designing products that are not only built to last but also packaged responsibly.
Looking ahead, I’m working on a new edition of the COLLECTED trivet in stainless steel. This shift allows me to collaborate with a manufacturer that also takes care of the packaging, further optimizing production and minimizing environmental impact. By keeping manufacturing and packaging closer to home, I aim to reduce transportation emissions while ensuring that the COLLECTED series continues to uphold its values of longevity, quality, and sustainability.
This version highlights your sustainable mindset and how you’re making conscious choices throughout the design, production, and packaging process. Let me know if you’d like any refinements!
